The following outlines some of the activities that LLCT always needs help with:

Stewardship:  With almost 3000 acres under our care there is no end to the list of tasks that need attention.  We organize work parties as needed to clear and maintain trails, build new trails, install and care for nesting boxes, or remove invasive species.  We also depend on volunteer stewards to adopt a particular property or trail and visit it on an annual basis.  Learn more about becoming a property steward. Contact us to be put on the email list for notification of work parties.  For more information email info@LymeLandTrust.org.

Educational Programs: Lyme Land Conservation Trust hosts a variety of programs, including workshops, speakers, and guided hikes. We recently launched the Lyme Trail Trekkers to encourage more family participation in LLCT events.  If you have ideas or areas of expertise you would be willing to share please email info@lymelandtrust.org

Publications The Land Trust produces seasonal newsletters, an annual report and press releases.  If you enjoy writing, have ideas for an article, or would like to photograph events or places in Lyme, we are always looking for new material of interest to our members.  Please email info@lymelandtrust.org to get involved.

Board of Directors:  Every June a few existing Directors conclude their terms, and the membership elects new members to the Board of Directors.  Directors serve three year terms and may serve up to nine years – ten for officers.  If you would be interested in serving on the Board or know somebody you would like to nominate, let us know.

If you are interested in volunteering please e-mail us at info@lymelandtrust.org with your contact information and area of interest.
