Fall Bow Hunting Season: September 15-November 19, 2019 and December 25, 2019-January 31, 2020

Please wear bright colors during the Fall hunting seasons while you are enjoying Lyme preserves. Deer and turkey bow hunting season is September 15 to November 19, 2019 and December 25 to January 31, 2020. Hunting is allowed Monday through Thursday, sunrise to sunset on the following preserves:

  • Beebe Preserve,
  • Chestnut Hill Preserve,
  • Eno Preserve
  • Hand Smith
  • Honey Hill Preserve
  • Jewett Preserve
  • Mount Archer Woods
  • Pickwick’s Preserve (privately owned-easement for public assess on blue trail)
  • Plimpton Preserve

These preserves, owned by the Town of Lyme or the Lyme Land Trust, remain open to hikers and other users during bow season. Permits for hunting on these preserves are granted by the Town of Lyme Open Space Coordinator to a limited number of licensed hunters. The program is fully subscribed. The State allows bow hunting during this time on Nehantic State Forest and Selden Neck Monday through Saturday.
