Eightmile RiverFest

terkkersThis is a free family oriented event sponsored every two years by the Eightmile River Wild & Scenic Coordinating Committee in celebration of the river.  We have bluegrass music (Eight Mile River Band of course), chowder from Moodus Sportsmen’s Club, cookies, cider and kettle corn.

We will also have programs on native reptiles by Meigs Point Nature Center and birds of prey by A Place Called Hope along with wildlife cartooning by Wild Bill Taylor, and “water fun” by Children’s Museum of Southeastern CT.  A stream bug demonstration will be presented by Three Rivers Community College.

The Lyme Land Conservation Trust will have a display and representatives at the event.
