Winter Walk Wednesday: Mangano-Mazzello Preserve, Honey Hill Rd, East Haddam

This 123-acre preserve was once a dairy and vegetable farm. Features at this 123-acre preserve include an active beaver pond and a bridge across a very attractive brook. Moderate hike with some inclines. About two miles.

Directions: From Hadlyme 4-Corners, follow Rte 82 east for 0.6 miles. Turn left onto Honey Hill Rd. After 1 mile, turn left to stay on Honey Hill Rd. Park in Saunders Preserve parking lot, 0.5 miles further on the right.
