Tuesday Trek: Selden Creek Preserve – Jim

Vernal pool wetlands will be the highlight of this mellow-to-moderate 1.5-mile early-spring walk to the magnificent overlook of Selden Creek and Selden Island. Amphibians like Wood Frogs and Spotted Salamanders rely on these big puddles to make more of themselves, and we can expect to see tadpoles and egg masses of these charismatic critters as well as to hear the songs of early arriving migratory birds. Park at the trailhead on Joshuatown Road.
