Take-a-Walk Wednesday: Mangano-Mazzella Preserve, East Haddam

Take a Wednesday walk with the East Haddam and Lyme Land Trust. This 123-acre preserve was once a dairy and vegetable farm. Features at this 123-acre preserve include an active beaver pond and a bridge across a very attractive brook. Moderate hike. About two miles. Wendy Hill, Open Space Coordinator of Lyme and Lyme Land Trust Vice President will lead the walk with Cameron Beard of the East Haddam Land Trust.

Directions: From Hadlyme 4-Corners, follow Rte 82 east for 0.6 miles. Turn left onto Honey Hill Rd. After 1 mile, turn left to stay on Honey Hill Rd. Park in Saunders Preserve parking lot,  0.5 miles further on the right.
