Fighting Climate Change via Your Personal Landscape by Tom Christopher

November 18 @ 7:00 pm

All the challenges of climate change, from global warming to mass extinctions, demand a fundamental change in how we relate to Nature, and there is no better laboratory for learning this than your own backyard. Ecological gardener and podcaster Tom Christopher describes how the way you interact with the plants, soil, and wildlife in that personal landscape can have a significant impact on the health of the local ecosystem while also making your home habitat more vibrant, colorful, and rewarding. What you experience there will also inform your understanding of the regional and global situation and equip you to become a leader in your community.

Tom Christopher is a graduate of the New York Botanical Garden’s School of Professional Gardening and the author of more than a dozen books about gardening, including the award-winning Garden Revolution: How Our Landscapes Can Be a Source of Environmental Change.
