Wednesday Walks with Wendy and Cam – Hatch Lot, Mill Rd, East Haddam

This 238-acre property has a mix of upland hardwood forest, exposed ledges, and mountain laurel groves supporting a variety of woodland flora and fauna. The property’s highest point has views of the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound in the distance. The walk is moderate with some inclines. About three miles.

Directions: From Hadlyme 4-Corners, follow Rte 82 west (heading north toward East Haddam) for 0.9miles. Take a slight right onto Hungerford Road. Take the next right onto Mill Road. Follow Mill Road for .8 miles. Look for a blue Hatch Lot sign on the left.
