Astronomy Club has new permanent observatory

Exciting news! Our Lyme Land Trust Astronomy Observatory construction is done. We have a new 14” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope housed in this permanent observatory structure. We had first light last night, proved out its polar alignment. Our first few target acquisitions were successful. All astronomy club principals were present and pitched in. The astronomy club team are Mark Borton, Roger Charbonneau, Jon Dean, Scott Mallory, Parag Sahasrabudhe, and Alan Sheiness.
