SUMMARY:Sunday after Thanksgiving Hike – Hartman Park Heritage Trail
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual post-Thanksgiving hike led by Wendy Hill\, Lyme Land Trust Vice President and Lyme Open Space Coordinator. We will walk the Heritage Trail (orange) in Hartman Park\, an easy to moderate hike with some uneven rocky footing and moderate inclines. Hartman Park is crisscrossed with ancient stone walls and other stone structures. The Heritage Trail visits several sites of remnants left behind by the people who once inhabited this land\, including the mysterious Three Chimneys. \nSnacks will be provided. We will have a snack break. Bring your own water or drink. The entire walk is about 3 miles. The walk time is approximate depending upon the group pace. Walking sticks are recommended. \nPlease register: openspace@townlyme.org \nMap and brochure of Hartman Park. Rain cancels. \nDirections: Meet at the Main Entrance to Hartman Park. The Main Entrance is about 1.25 miles north of the intersection of Beaver Brook Rd. and Gungy Rd.
