SUMMARY:Winter Wonders Forest Bathing - A 1.5 hr. Forest Retreat Experience
DESCRIPTION:(photo courtesy Regan Stacey) \nEnjoy a relaxing and peaceful guided forest bathing retreat that will surprise you with all that is present this time of year. \nOur mini-retreat session includes gentle mindful movement\, nature meditation\, and a slow-paced walk with opportunities to pause and connect with nature along the way. Our time together includes sharing in a warm seasonal tea among the trees at Beebe pond. The walk is about 1-mile round trip over easy to moderate terrain. \nForest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku – taking in the forest atmosphere. As a growing global wellness movement\, it is backed by nearly 40 years of scientific research on the holistic benefits of immersing yourself in nature. These benefits include reduced stress and blood pressure\, increased creativity and focus\, improved mood and sleep\, and a boost to immune functions. In addition to the health benefits\, this practice offers a pathway of reconnection to our Earth\, restoring our relationship with the natural world for the well-being of all. \nRegistration: Sliding scale: $10 – $30 \nAges 18+. No pets please. \nRegister here. \nLLT member save 10% with code LLT10 \nRegan Stacey is a mindfulness meditation teacher and forest therapy guide whose passion is to reconnect humans to nature for personal and planetary well-being. She is founder of The Forest Therapy School\, training forest therapy guides to share this work around the world. Additionally\, she offers forest bathing walks for the local community and mindfulness in nature retreats at various spiritual retreat centers across the country.
