There are a variety of ways to get involved with the work of the Lyme Land Trust. We encourage and welcome your interest and would love to get you involved. The following are a number of the tasks that we always need help with and information about whom to contact.

Work Parties: There are many properties which the Land Trust is responsible for maintaining. We organize work parties as needed to do a variety of tasks, including brush clearing, trail maintenance, creation of new trails, installation of osprey nests and tree work. All hands are welcome. If you are interested in adding your name to the list of volunteers who are called about work parties, please send email here

Educational Programs: The Land Trust runs a variety of educational programs, from interpretative trails to workshops to educational walks to programs with Lyme Consolidated School. At this time, we are especially interested in re-establishing programs with the Lyme Consolidated School, and are in the process of dialogue with the school. Any support or ideas about educational programs for all ages are welcome. If interested in getting involved, please email us here.

Writing Articles: The Land Trust reports on its activities and other items of interest through a variety of media, including our annual report, newsletters, articles in local papers and our website. We are always looking for more reporters. We also need pictures of activities, especially in digital form. If you would be interested in writing an article about a land trust activity or about a conservation or environmental item of interest or providing photographs, please email us here.

IT Support: As technologies evolve, the Land Trust can also use support from those members who are especially gifted in using computer and other multi-media technologies. If you are able to provide support with any of these services, please email us here

Board of Directors: Every June, the membership elects several new board members to the board of the Lyme Land Conservation Trust. Board members are elected to three year terms, and may serve up to nine years. If you would be interested in more information about serving as a board member or would like to submit a nomination to the board, please email us here.
