Membership in the Lyme Land Conservation Trust

If you enjoy the rural character of Lyme, you should be a member of the Lyme Land Trust.

With membership dollars and generous donations, we have been able to acquire properties and easements to protect important tracts of land, thus helping preserve the rural character that makes Lyme so special. The money we receive is used to accomplish our goals and run programs to inform and educate. Several times each year we hold walks on selected properties.

The Lyme Land Trust is a volunteer organization. Directors as well as Land Trust members who volunteer serve as stewards, watching over the properties we own or on which we hold conservation easements.

Compared with other towns in Connecticut, Lyme enjoys a very high percentage of citizens as members. Your membership is important to us because it is an affirmation that you agree with our conservation efforts.

We welcome everyone who shares our goals to join the Lyme Land Trust. However, the formal right to vote is limited to members who reside or own real property in Lyme and who are 18 years of age or older.
