Join us for a tour of new signage on the Heritage Trail at Hartman Park. This signage, in the form of illustrated panels, gives insight into the history and activity of the people who once lived here based upon the remnants left behind.
The signs enhance information included in “The Heritage Trail, a Walk in Hartman Park” Booklet, written by Marianne Pfeiffer in 1996. An updated 2015 version of the booklet is available online at http://www.lymelandtrust.org/new/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Hartman-Booklet-Web-031020web.pdf
The entire walk is about 2.5 miles long with options for shortcuts. Bring your own water and a walking stick. There are some rocky areas and moderate hill climbs. Wendolyn Hill, Lyme Land Trust board member and Lyme Open Space Coordinator, will lead the hike.
Registration is appreciated: email@example.com
Directions: The parking lot is on Gungy Road about 1.5 miles north of the 4-way stop signs at the intersection of Beaverbrook Road, Grassy Hill Road, and Gungy Road.
